         CRUISE MYTHS:

        "Cruises are so confining!"

There is more room on a cruise than you realize! The spacious decks that surround modern cruise ships range from 440 - 844 ft long, which gives you endless open-air walking room, and the personal space each passenger has on-ship ranges from 28-34 sq. ft. and more. That's a lot of room for you to stretch out, enjoy privacy, and pamper yourself. Also, cruise ships offer a wealth of fun-filled activities that change on a daily basis, and don't forget the fascinating ports you can visit and explore. There are also optional land excursions available that will allow you to see more of the islands. There is something for everyone on a cruise, and they are not confining.

        "Cruises seem so boring."

Not a chance! Along with the daily activities available to you, there is always the opportunity to try your luck in the casinos, participate in the many on-deck programs, play sports, shop (on board and off!), watch a movie, swim in the on-board swimming pools (some with gigantic water slides and retractable domes over the pool), catch a native tan, dance the night away, enjoy "Broadway/Las Vegas" style live shows, work away those extra pounds in the fitness center, etc. Then, if you have any energy left, you can depart the ship and explore the exciting and interesting ports of call!

        "Cruises are so expensive!"

As compared to land packages, cruising provides a much higher value for your money. Just think, one price includes airfare (optional), the cruise plus destinations, all meals and snacks, accomodations, entertainment, and multiple activities. There are no hidden charges to your vacation, satisfaction levels are higher and statistics prove that once you pay for your cruise, you will spend about 15% less! Please note that alcoholic drinks, tips, and souvenirs are not included in the base price.

        "I think I'll get seasick."

Today's cruise ships are equipped with state-of-the-art stabilizers that keep rolling to a minimum and the ship sailing smoothly. Also, we can choose a cabin for you that will aid in protecting you from motion discomfort, and you can always look into other personal precautions such as sea bands, patches, etc. to put your mind at ease. Simply check with your physician. Besides, cruise lines avoid areas of choppy waters, such as the North Atlantic in winter. Most first-time cruisers are pleasantly surprised and would go again!

"I have nothing to wear! I’d have to buy a whole new wardrobe!"

With the exception of dinner, the attire on most cruises is informal and casual. Most cruises offer a daily itinerary and will suggest the type of dress for that evening’s dinner (semi-formal, formal, etc.) as well. But if you want to use the cruise as an excuse to buy yourself a new wardrobe, go ahead!
